JNTUH- Revised question paper pattern for PG / UG Programs of R13 Regulations.

JNT University has revised the R13 academic regulations in its letter no.A1/1623/2013 dated 02.01.2014. It has changed weightage of marks and  pattern for B.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Tech, M.Pharma, MBA, MCA courses. The details are given below:


PG question paper pattern of R13 Regulation under 5.1 : In each subject 60 marks shall be awarded based on the performance in the external exams and 40 marks shall be awarded based on the internal evaluation.

Mid Term Examinations: The mid term exams will be conducted for 40 marks, each exam will be conducted for a duration of 120 minutes in the following pattern:

Part A: compulsory question for 16 marks which consists of 4 subj questions (4 bits) and carries 4 marks each

Part B: 3 questions to be answered out of given 5 questions, each carries 8 marks i.e., part b for 24 marks.

End Examination (Theory):  The external examination will be conducted for 60 marks & it will consists of 2 parts as mentioned below:

Part A for 20 Marks: Part A is compulsory question & consists of 5 questions one from each unit and carries 4 marks each (it is called as question number 1) i.e., there is no choice in this part.

Part B for for 40 marks: it will consists 5 questions and each question carries 8 marks, These 5 questions given from each one unit and it may contain sub questions. Each question contains an "either" "or" choice, it means there will be two questions from each unit and only one question should answer.

Mid Term Examinations: There is no change in the pattern of 25 marks internals

End Examinations: the external examinations shall be conducted for 75 marks and consists of two parts i.e., i) Part-A for 25 marks, ii) Part B for 50 marks

Part A: part A is compulsory question which consists of ten sub questions. The first 5 questions are from each unit and carries 2 marks each. The next 5 sub questions are one from each unit and carries 3 marks.

Part B : It will consists of 5 questions & carries 10 marks each. Each of these questions is from one unit and may contain sub questions. Each question will “either” “or” choice that means there will be two questions from each unit and the student should answer any one question.
